Breakdown is a photographic and editorial project developed between the Czech Republic and Barcelona.
Combining analog and digital photography with graphic and editorial design, the book documents the experience of an international community of young people facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
The project was shaped as a collaborative process: participants contributed to the narrative, took part in photoshoots, and helped define the final format of the publication. This participatory approach became an essential part of the identity of Breakdown, reinforcing its documentary value and collective voice.
The project received an Honour Mention at the Professional Artistic Studies of Catalonia Awards, recognizing it as one of the most valued creative works in the region in 2022. With a completed prototype, the book is now positioned with the ambition of being published and reaching a wider audience.
